“Ms. Gayle”is now in her 43rd year as a professional dance teacher. A graduate of Texas Christian University with a B.S., Ms. Gayle achieved certification to teach dance through both written and physical exam. A Master’s Degree was awarded by Texas A & M, Texarkana. Ms. Gayle was an original Texas Christian University “Showgirl” – the dance team featured at the University. She founded the Showstopper Drill Team at Pleasant Grove High School in 1983. Civic clubs include Jr. League Sustainer, TRAHC, Texarkana Community Ballet, and Women for the Arts. Ms. Gayle was a Parents Club President and Board Member for St. James Day School during the years her children were there. A former Miss Texarkana, she is a proud member of Chi Omega Alumni, Texarkana. Ms. Gayle is married to H.T. Burrow and they have two children, Trey, and Ali.

“Miss Ali” is a teacher and choreographer at ASDC. A 2012 graduate of Texas A & M – Texarkana, Ali also trained at the Kim Dawson Actors Conservatory in Dallas. As a local dancer, Miss Ali performed in Texarkana Community Ballet productions for over 10 years. She was featured as a Candy Cane soloist and as a Snow Princess Soloist in the Nutcracker. Miss Ali is a teacher member of the Texarkana Community Ballet. At the University of North Texas she served on the executive board of her sorority, Chi Omega, including the office of President. She is a Chi Omega Alumnae active in the local group. She is a former Miss Dallas and also received the Outstanding Dancer Award at the Miss Texas pageant. While in Dallas, she was also featured in regional television commercials. She obtained her certification by the Texas Education Agency in Dance and Physical Education. She is the past director of the Redwater Dazzler Drill Team.

Makenzie started tumbling at age 5 AND continued through her senior year in high school. She was an all American Cheerleader for 4 years at Arkansas High School and also a member of the competition squad. She has worked with multiple tumbling coaches and has taught gymnastics for six years through the Arkansas School District. She is also a first grade teacher in TISD at Theron Jones where she is also director of the elementary cheerleading club.

Sarah Grace Boudreaux – Sarah Grace studied dance for 16 years at ASDC. She was featured in our Texarkana Community Ballet productions of The Nutcracker Ballet in various roles including – Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Ballerina Doll, Clara, and Reed Flute Soloist. Sarah Grace studied many summers at various Ballet Intensives including the American Ballet Theatre, Oklahoma City Ballet, Nashville Ballet, Kansas City Ballet and Nashville Ballet. While at Texas High School, she was the Captain of the Texas Highsteppers and also achieved the Highest HighStepper Class GPA all four years. She was also elected Best Dancer and many other camp awards including Choreography Award, Technique Award and Elite Dancer. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Texas High, she enrolled in Ole Miss and pledged Chi Omega sorority. She has just completed her first year at Ole Miss. Sarah Grace is actively teaching Ballet, Lyrical, and Drill Team Skills at ASDC.

“Ms. Tiffany” has 14 years of teaching experience with Pre-K through Kindergarten students. She has also served as a Sunday School teacher to the high school class at her church. She has taught in the classroom, church, and dance studio settings. This is her fifth year with ASDC in which she has taken classes and is trained in both ballet and tap. When hen she’s not at the studio she is running her sewing business or volunteering at the 1st Choice Pregnancy Center as a counselor and has a spokesperson. She is married to Chris Williams and they have four children – Travis, Hannah, Morgan, and Austin.

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Kristen (Crawford) Hutson to our teaching staff!
Kristen Hutson, a native to Texarkana, has been dancing for 20 years. Kristen discovered her love for dance and drill team early on. Growing up she was a participant in Texarkana Community Ballet for 9 years. She attended Pleasant Grove High School and was a member of the Showstoppers for 4 years. After high school she continued to pursue this avenue of dance, earning a spot on the prestigious World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes. As a member of the 75th line, Kristen had the opportunity to take from renowned teachers Angela Aulds and Shelley Wayne. At Kilgore College, Kristen had the opportunity to expand her practice in many genres of dance, including Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Kristen worked as an Instructor for Cindi Rains’ Intensive Dance Company’s “Kickin’ It with Rains” Summer of 2016. Following her graduation from Kilgore College with an Associates of Arts, Kristen continued to pursue her education at Texas A&M University Texarkana. She currently serves as the director of the Pleasant Grove Middle School Star Steppers and looks forward to expanding her knowledge of dance through teaching.
